SkyWalking V2 Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the developer of SkyWalking V2 (the "Developer") handles user information in the iOS application "SkyWalking V2" (the "App").

1. Basic Policy

The App does not transmit or collect users' location information or other personal information to the Developer's servers. As a rule, all data handled by the App is stored and processed only on the user's device.

2. Location Information

• The App uses the device's location information to record GPS tracks, display your current location on the map, and obtain elevation data.
• Use of location information requires permission for iOS Location Services. You can change this permission at any time in the device settings.
• Recorded GPS tracks (track data) are stored only on the user's device. The Developer never obtains or views this data.
• Whether to share recorded GPS tracks externally (e.g., via GPX export) is entirely up to the user and happens only through the user's own actions.

3. Communication with External Servers

The App communicates with external servers for the following purposes. All of these communications are for retrieving map images and similar data; the Developer does not collect any information that identifies the user.

• GSI map tiles and elevation API: To display maps and obtain elevation data, the App sends requests to servers of the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (e.g., cyberjapandata.gsi.go.jp). As with any web communication, these requests include technical information such as IP addresses. Handling of this information is governed by GSI's policies.
• Apple's map services: When Apple Maps (MapKit) is used to display the base map, Apple's privacy policy applies.

4. In-App Purchases

• Purchases and payments for the App's subscription (SkyWalking V2 Pro) are handled through Apple's App Store.
• Payment information (such as credit card details) is managed by Apple and is never obtained by the Developer.
• Purchase status is verified between the device and the App Store.

5. Information the Developer Does Not Collect

The App does not do any of the following:

• Transmit or collect users' location information or GPS tracks
• Display advertisements or use advertising identifiers
• Perform analytics or behavioral tracking
• Collect personal information such as names or email addresses

6. Data Storage and Deletion

• GPS tracks, offline maps, settings and other data are all stored on the user's device.
• This data can be deleted through the App's delete functions, or by uninstalling the App.
• Because the Developer holds no user data, there is no data for the Developer to delete.

7. Children's Privacy

The App does not collect personal information from any age group (it does not collect personal information at all).

8. Changes to This Policy

This Policy may be revised in response to changes in laws or in the App's features. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
